Microsoft cloud service is the technology that allows users to access Microsoft's infrastructure from anywhere in the world.
This means that businesses in Ireland looking adopt Microsoft solutions will have access to a world class hosted solution via local experts.
Paul Lemon, Director of Sales and Business Development at Equiniti , says: “Being selected by Microsoft to be their first Cloud OS provider in Ireland is not only great news for us, but also for our clients and prospective clients.
“Historically, in order to develop a new technology-based service often required significant expenditure on hardware and software purchase and development before you even started to build the new service; with Microsoft Azure, this is dramatically reduced as everything you need can be accessed remotely in the Cloud.”
Globally, the provision of cloud services are expected to reach US$108 by 2017, with much of the growth coming from what are termed ‘cloud service providers’ such as Equiniti, which can design and implement technology solutions for organisations using cloud-based technology, which can significantly reduce the time and costs to develop business solutions.
